Dribbling

Eight types of dribbling styles

1. Foundation (boxing): Moving the ball from side to side between your feet using the inside of your foot(toe up, ankle locked).

2. Triangle: Start with foundation, then push the ball slightly forward with one foot, then reach out with the other foot and drag the ball back with the sole of your foot and do foundation again.

3. Drag 180': Start with foundation, then push the ball slightly forward with one foot, then reach out with the other foot and drag the ball back with the sole of your foot behind you as you pivot on the other foot. Continue to drag the ball through so that you are facing the opposite direction (180') from where you started.

4. Drag across: Start with foundation, then push the ball slightly forward with one foot, then reach out with the other foot and drag the ball across your body (in front), pivot on the other foot. Continue to drag the ball across the pivot foot so that you are facing the opposite direction (180') from where you started.

5. Inside outside: Place the ball between your feet and pass it to the opposite foot. Raise the receiving foot so as to allow the ball to go past it and then strike the ball with the outside of the foot. Next hop in the direction the ball is traveling so you can receive the ball with the inside of the same foot you used to pass outside. Pass the ball back with the inside of the foot to in the other direction, letting the ball go past your opposite foot and strike it with the outside. Again hop in the direction of the ball and receive it with the inside of the same foot just used to pass the ball on the outside. Repeat. This is like dancing with the ball; you need rhythm and shoulder dipping to be good at this.

6. Cruyff: Start with foundation, then push the ball slightly forward with one foot, then reach out with the other foot and drag the ball behind you and then push the ball around your planted foot at an angle, using the inside of the foot you dragged the ball back with. This move is used to misdirect the other player (Feinting).

7. The "V": This is similar to the triangle. Start with passing the ball to the right foot. Push the ball forward then drag it back with the sole of the right foot, back to the left foot. Then use the outside of the left foot to push the ball forward, then drag it with the sole of the left foot, back to the right foot. Repeat the process to the left foot, then right, etc.

8. Beckenbauer: This move is used to change directions. To execute you use the outside of one foot and keep pushing the ball in a circle.
